After planning and schemeing for fifteen years we FINALLY moved onto the Wee Beastie Ranch in April of 2023 for the express purpose of raising and milking Nigerian Dwarf goats. Lucy and her kids, Fred and Ethel, came home a month later and Opal joined the herd in October of 2023. In 2024 we retained Lucy’s kids, Pooper and Pickle as well as Opal’s doeling, Squirrely. We also brought home Buck Rogers to add a new bloodline to our herd! 2025 saw our first on farm breedings with our own bucks – and we were SO impressed with Squirrely’s performance as a first freshener that we kept one of her doelings, Betty, as well as Ethel’s doeling, Agatha.

We are learning to use natural, holistic methods as much as possible both to enhance the well being of our herd and to protect the health of our land. This includes dam raising our kids, using lots of browse and high tannin feeds, rotational grazing, herbs and essential oils as well as convential medicine when necessary. We continue to grow our herd, milk our girls and make LOTS of cheese!
